Ongoing
While the food industry faces major challenges, there is plenty of untapped potential for green and digital innovation with primary production as the market.
The purpose of the PRIMÄR project is to increase cooperation between various actors in the value chain from farm to fork, to reduce the gap between processors and the primary production stage, and thus accelerate a socially important transition towards a more climate-neutral food system.
The PRIMÄR project will contribute to a better understanding of the opportunities that exist around new business ideas, innovations, and new markets by working with challenge-driven innovation. The project will also create meeting places and collaborations across sectors and geographical boundaries. Additionally, it will help to strengthen the entire circular value chain in the food industry, and to make new green and sustainable products, services, and processes commercially successful.
Through a series of inspirational lectures with knowledge boosting to a broad target group, direct business support to selected companies with access to business development, coaching and study visits for collaboration across regional borders and internationally, Krinova and partners will contribute to increasing innovation in primary producer-related SMEs.
In the PRIMÄR project, Krinova is the project owner with SLU and LRF as partners.
